Stevens is an experienced NJ-based professional
pianist-vocalist-teacher who has performed in the NJ and metro
NYC area for over 30 years-- and has taught piano and theory
for over ten years. Having studied classical and then jazz and
pop music since childhood, he attended William Paterson University
and worked with Roberta Flack, Vic Damone, the Del Vikings,
the Jerry Lewis TV Telethon, and many more, he is well-versed
in the great pop song and jazz tradition, along with years of
classical music training.
He performs songs from the "Great American Songbook"
by Gershwin, Rodgers-Hart, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, Harold
Arlen, Johnny Mercer-- and everything from Billy Joel, Elton
John and The Beatles to Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett -- on
piano /keyboard and/or with vocals, it is always music authentically
done with heart and with originality.
Solo performance on piano or electric keyboard -- or with bass
or bass/drums, guitar, horns etc.
